Just what I wanted for a new iPhone. A special “Thank You” to artist ‘Serge Averbukh’ for the addition, at my request, to the design of my Navy rating, the lightening bolts (sparks as they are/were called) in the middle of the CPO insignia. I asked; he came through….When I use my phone, it brings back fond memories of my 20-year Navy career…. Thanks Serge….

Untitled box-like art, sometimes called "Judd's cubes," by "Minimalist" artist Donald Judd (1928-1994) -- though he detested the "minimalist" description -- on the grounds of the Chinati Foundation, or La Fundacin Chinati, a contemporary art museum in Marfa, a surprisingly sophisticated town in the Texas high desert that has cultivated a reputation as a center of the arts.
The Chinati Foundation, founded in 1986 by Judd, presents permanent, large-scale installations by a limited number of artists. The foundation is located on 340 acres of land on the site of former Fort D. A. Russell, which included this semicircular, quonset-hut-style building.
Carol M. Highsmith Influenced by Frances Benjamin Johnston and Dorothea Lange Carol M. Highsmith (born 1946) is a photographer, author, and publisher who has photographed all 50 of the United States, the District of Columbia, and Puerto Rico for 30 years. She specializes in documenting architecture, ranging from the monumental to the everyday and whimsical. Highsmith is donating her lifes work of more than 100,000 images, copyright-free, to the Library of Congress, which established a rare one-person archive. Out of 14 million images, the Carol M.
